2022 Year in Review

RECAP

In 2022, we traveled across the United States, managing production for a 14-episode small group series along with shooting promos for clients and overseeing post-production for several documentaries. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from 2022!

RENEW SPEC TRAILER

The Renew Trailer uses the visuals of the restoration of a truck as a metaphor for how every Christian man can find brokenness, freedom, and renewal in Christ – to become the leader God has called him to be. Read more >>

REVIVAL DOCUMENTARY

We managed post-production for the “Revival” documentary. This compelling film follows Harold Vaughan as he embarks on a quest to explore what sparks revival and how can we see it today? His journey took him to Northern Ireland, where he witnessed what God did in the past.

We crafted the narrative through skillful editing, collaborating closely with the client to authentically convey the heart of this important story. John-Clay provided color grading techniques to enhance the visual impact. Additionally, we managed the entire post-production team, ensuring a seamless process through post-production to final delivery of the film to the client.

RENEW LECTURES

“Renew” is a 14-episode church curriculum on how to find freedom from the bondage of sexual addiction. The trailer outlines the hopeful perspective that every Christian man can find brokenness, freedom, and renewal in Christ – to become the leader God called him to be, in his family and community.

Every aspect of this project, from scouting locations to selecting wardrobe, managing technical aspects, assembling the crew, and crafting the cinematic aesthetic, was a deeply gratifying experience for our team. We feel truly blessed to have been involved in such a remarkable endeavor!

“WHELP” Documentary

Following a family of French Bulldog breeders in upstate New York, “Whelp” gives an intimate look into the breeding process against the polarized global debate surrounding this increasingly sought-after breed and the people who breed them.

John-Clay served as lead editor, helping craft a cohesive and compelling story, and coordinating with the rest of our team, who worked on the project.

RENEW INTERVIEWS

As part of the Renew project, our final filming phase involved traveling to interview almost twenty individuals, including pastors, doctors, men who had found freedom, and couples whose marriages had been restored.

In October, we had the privilege of traveling all across the Midwest and Southeast, capturing cinematic stories and conducting expert interviews, enriching the project with diverse perspectives and compelling testimonies.

ALENA’S STORY

Alena is a remarkable 13-year-old member of Texas Homeschool Coalition. She was just one year away from graduating with a double Bachelor’s degree, and is the youngest Black individual ever accepted into medical school and the youngest intern ever at NASA. We loved the opportunity to capture her story, and how her mother’s dedication to nurturing Alena’s love for learning made Alena the leader she is today.

teaching & events

This year, John-Clay taught at CWVFF and we also enjoyed attending National Religious Broadcasters, connecting with friends new and old and finding inspiration, growth, and new opportunities!

Looking back on 2022, we’re grateful for a year of amazing clients, incredible projects, and the opportunity to tell the stories of organizations who are changing lives across the nation.
