CASE STUDY

To commemorate 30 years of history, we knew we wanted to capture interviews with everyone who had been a director of the program and we wanted an interview setup that displayed the extensive training offered by the program. However, set design and construction is a post for another time 🙂

After recording hours of interview content, it was an immense effort to cut it down to 45 min, then 30 min…and then finally down to 15 min. From the beginning we brought on the Morrison Brothers to help with the editing for this project and they were extremely helpful in achieving the final interview cut-down length. They also brought valuable experience in editing faster paced documentaries that have lots of archive footage and photos, and using motion graphics in creative ways to enhance the visuals.

There were several other client staff and their former media staff who put a lot of time into culling through folders upon folders of video and photos to narrow down which assets would be best for this project.

I enjoyed being able to be at the premiere screening (with my son) at their 30th anniversary reunion! It was received very well, and there was a long applause afterward.
